The high school program at MLIA – SZ is still relatively small which allows for significant personalization of each student’s program.

For those entering grades 11 and 12 in September 2020, they will be completing the BC high school diploma program as well as the Chinese high school program. For those entering grade 10 in September 2020, they will continue to complete the Chinese high school program while being the first Maple Leaf students to complete the Maple Leaf World School Program. All students will have the opportunity to complete Advanced Placement (AP) college level courses.

The new Maple Leaf World School Program builds upon the successful BC program offered to Maple Leaf students over the past 20 years while more fully embodying the concept of the best of Chinese and western education. The overall graduation requirements remain unchanged with World History and Geography replacing BC Sociology as a mandatory course.

Maple Leaf World School curriculum will also strengthen the cultivation of academic English skills to ensure graduates can successfully complete their chosen majors at universities. With improved academic English, the goal is for more universities to recognize the academic English ability of Mapleleaf graduates so that they may not have to complete additional English entrance assessments such as IELTS and TOEFL.

Maple Leaf has also partnered with two independent, widely recognized educational organizations in the recognition of the Maple Leaf World Education Program, Cognia and ENIC.

Cognia currently accredits 36,000 schools, educational institutions and training program in 83 countries and regions around the world. It is the world’s largest non-governmental and non-profit educational certification organization. Maple Leaf elementary, middle and high schools are currently certified by Cognia which will allow the new world school program to be automatically certified. Cognia will provide international third-party credit endorsement for Maple Leaf World High School Program transcripts and diplomas as well as assisting the schools with continuous improvement.

ENIC has been engaged to provide a consulting service to benchmark Maple Leaf World courses against A-level and BC course grades to ensure they are recognized by university admission offices.

目前深圳楓葉國際學校高中部規模雖然不大，但正因為此，學校能夠為每個學生提供完全個性化的課程和培養。

2020年9月進入11年級和12年級的學生將完成加拿大BC省高中文憑課程和中國高中部分課程。對于2020年9月入學的10年級學生，他們將繼續完成中國高中部分課程，同時成為第一批完成楓葉國際學校課程的楓葉學生。所有學生都將有機會完成大學先修課程(AP課程)。

楓葉世界學校課程還將加強學生學術英語能力的培養，以確保畢業生能夠順利在大學完成他們選擇的專業。隨著學術英語水平的提高，更多的大學認可楓葉畢業生的學術英語能力，學生就不必再完成額外的英語能力評估，比如雅思和托福。

楓葉世界課程得到Cognia和ENIC這兩家獨立的、得到廣泛認可的教育機構合認證。

Cognia目前為全球83個國家和地區的36,000所學校、教育機構和培訓項目提供認證。它是世界上最大的非政府和非營利性教育認證組織。楓葉小學、初中和高中目前都由Cognia認證，這將使新世界學校計劃自動獲得認證。Cognia將為楓葉世界學校高中課程成績單和文憑提供國際第三方信用認證，并幫助學校持續改進。

ENIC將楓葉世界課程與A -level課程和BC課程進行對標，確保課程得到大學招生辦公室的認可。

Policy: Maple Leaf International Schools offer a high school program certified by the various provinces of China, Cognia and the BC Ministry of Education. It is a three-year program of grades 10, 11 and 12.

The Dual Diploma Program:

Thisis a 3-year Program. Students who begin in Full WS Program (4 WS courses and 1 Chinese course) usually take 3 years to finish requirements for both diplomas and have all the courses necessary to apply for top universities. Under exceptional circumstances, a student may be able to graduate in less than 3 years, but this would require the approval of the International Program Principal.

這是3年的課程項目。從全楓葉世界學校課程開始就讀的學生(4門楓葉世界學校課程和1門中文課程)通常需要3年完成雙學位證書的要求，并具備申請世界頂尖大學所需的所有課程。在特殊情況下，有學生可能在3年之內就能畢業，但是這需要得到校長的批準。

Bridging Program:

過渡級課程：

This program is for students who have a strong Chinese academic background and intermediate level English skills but are not able to cope initially with English-only classes. This program may require the student to add one semester and study at MLES for 3.5 years.

本課程為具備較強的中文學術背景和中級英語水平，但是不能應對全英文的課程的學生而設。過渡級課程可能需要學生多學一個學期，在楓葉學習3.5年的時間。

Foundations Program:

This program is designed for students who need an intensive English immersion program to gain sufficient competency to participate successfully in the WS courses. This program may require the student to study at MLES for up to 4 years.
